Become an Imperial Beach Ocean Lifeguard

The City of Imperial Beach Marine Safety Department is excited to announce that it is now accepting applications for the 2023 Seasonal Ocean Lifeguard 

There are three steps to becoming an ocean lifeguard.

1. Sign-up for a San Diego Lifeguard Regional Academy 
2. Successfully complete the American Red Cross Emergency Medical Response course or Emergency Medical Care of the Sick and Injured course
3. Apply with our Imperial Beach Marine Safety Department
