At the April 19, 2023, City Council meeting, at the request of Council, staff brought forward a discussion on local campaign contribution regulations. The City Council voted to appoint a limited term Ad Hoc to work with staff on drafting a final Ordinance to bring back to the City Council for consideration.
The Ad Hoc is comprised of Mayor Paloma Aguirre and Councilmember Mitch McKay. The Ad Hoc could bring forward an Ordinance to the City Council for consideration no later than January 2024. Ad Hoc has conducted several public outreach meetings. Copies of the presentations are made available below.
